Jeff is on the Wall

February 28, 2010

I was first introduced to Jeff Wall in my Contemporary Art History class. I was impressed but I didn’t realize how amazing Jeff Wall’s work was until I saw him in person at the MOMA in New York. One photograph takes up a huge portion of the wall and is backlit on a light box. Jeff Wall’s composition is thought-out and purposeful, yet his color is not lacking with the light box. Immediately I fell in love with this Canadian based photographer that can be seen on the cover of the The Invisible Man. All you need is one visit with Jeff Wall’s work and you will be a fan forever. I witnessed his work in galleries in Germany, Spain, London, and Los Angeles. This photographer is acclaimed for a reason and make sure next to look him up.
