I Love My Foreign Flicks…

Coming out in Feburary to the U.S., A Prophet (Un prophète), looks like it’s going to be a top five gangster movie. Who wants to join me when this comes out? I’ll buy the popcorn.

Nike Viral At Its Best

Everyone knows the brand Nike but they can inspire and reinvent themselves over and over.

In 2009, three of the most innovative, original, and classic guitar players came together to make one of the years best Rockumentaries. “What do I think will happen? Oh, I don’t know. Probably a fist fight,” says a capped Jack White in the back of a rental car on his way to meet with Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin) and The Edge (U2.) The film itself doesn’t distract from the three by trying to use overly impressive cinematic shots. Instead, the simplicity of the film and composition led to impressive cinematic shots.

The film follows the three through their past and all the way to present day, exemplifying the struggles that an artist goes through on his/her way to find creative success. “Creativity should always be a struggle,” Jack White would protest as he’s teaching his 12 year old self how to play the blues.

If you have some extra time on your hands, then this is a must see. Even if you don’t have much time on your hands, screw everything on your plate and go find this film. It’s definitely worth it and will leave you inspired to do work.
